All Are Welcome. Connecting...People to God, People to People, and People to Mission.
Our Savior's seeks to be a church that welcomes all people because we are all made in the image of God and hold tightly to our baptismal identity as God's children. In doing so, we seek to connect people through our congregational activities. First we connect people to God through worship, praise, and study. Second, we connect people to one another to build up the body of Christ and strengthen our community. And finally, we connect people to God's mission both inside and outside of the church walls. This final connection strives to apply our faith to our everyday life.
Vision
We are a caring family of God's children growing in faith, spreading His word, and doing His work in the community and beyond.
Our vision is centered around the Triune God and three activities: growing, sharing, and doing.
We are all on a journey in our faith lives and whether we find ourselves young or mature, we are always seeking to grow in our faith.
No matter our level of faith we are called to share the good news of Jesus Christ with other people. This takes place in different ways for different people, but as disciples we are always called to share.
In a world with thousands of non-profit organizations, what separates the church from other worthy causes? The church, and this congregation, is called to do God's work in the world in the name of Jesus Christ in the Lake Region community and beyond.
The ELCA
Our Savior's Lutheran church is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, or the ELCA. It is one of the largest Christian denominations in the U.S. with over 4 million members. As members of this church body we seek to partner with the larger church in order to do God's work to the best of our abilities, learn from the diversity our sisters and brothers in Christ, and grow in faith.
